This has been one of the movies I had been looking forward to see in the
theater and prepared for it by reading the book (which was amazing).
The story is good and Hollywood did not screw it up with political messaging.
(Good that not Disney was in charge for this one as they are still stuck in
activism which is bad when done in any direction as taking a stance in a
political debate always alienates part of the customer base). This movie was
well done because it was a close adaptation to the book, it was kept kids friendly,
neutral with messaging and had a good cast. Both Rosling and Hüller
delivered (Hüller also was great in
"Anatomy of a fall"; one can see that she has theater background).
As for math: there is the "2+2" question which also was from the book. Makes
sense that a robot probes the state of a patient as such. In the
school room scene there are some math formulas on the board. In the end there
is a question about the speed of light.
