Was a bit of a hazy day but it was still a pleasant surprise to have sun as the weather report had predicted clouds for today. The pictures were taken on the "Horn pond mountain" (= "Mt Towanda"), which is a nice little hill between Winter pond and Horn pond. It is already in Woburn with boundary in Winchester. It is an interesting case also because the center of the hill is carved out. It was once the city's main water reservoir. A coal fired pumphouse had pumped water to the reservoir. You can see a picture here or a picture before the first filling. There had even been a skilift See this page. As usual, click on the thumbnail to see the 3D panorama and wait until it is loaded.
