Camillia (Cammie) Smith Barnes

Hello! I'm a PhD student in the Harvard Math Department.

I'm currently working in Enumerative Combinatorics, with interests in Algebraic Combinatorics. My adviser is Richard Stanley, who is Professor of Applied Mathematics at MIT. I plan to graduate in June 2009.

Starting Fall 2009, I'll be teaching at Sweet Briar College, a lovely liberal arts college for women in Central Virginia, as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mathematical Sciences. I'm extremely excited about my new job!

Eventually I expect to have a new website here, but it may not be ready quite yet.

Here's a favorite photo of my "after-dinner glint":

I may eventually add a blurb about some of the things I do in my (almost nonexistent) spare time, but for now I do want to mention the existence of an awesome new math club for girls in the Boston Area, Girls' Angle, at which I mentor from time to time.
