Simons Postdoctoral Fellowships [ apply]
The Department of Mathematics anticipates two visiting postdoctoral fellowships at the Benjamin Peirce fellows level, funded by the Simons Foundation. One will start in the fall of 2010, and one in the fall of 2011. These are non-tenure-track positions, with a term of three years, and a teaching load of three one-semester courses spread over the three years. Candidates must have earned a PhD in Mathematics during the academic year immediately preceding the year in which the Fellowship would begin. They must show promise of outstanding research potential, and must be eligible to work in the United States. The annual salary will be approximately $70,000, with an annual supplement of $7,000 for scientific travel, inviting visitors, and other research related expenses. The review of applications for the term beginning in 2010 will start on February 5, 2009.
